Description: Do you know there is a world of a difference between Arabic writing and calligraphy? Students will review the fundamentals of pen strokes, dot-based measurements, balance, lettering and design in Arabic Calligraphy. This is an essential class for any student who wants to learn the easy steps to remarkable calligraphy in a short time. The emphasis in this class will be on learning how to create your own Arabic calligraphy home décor items.

The Art of Henna Designs by Sehrish
Description: If you are into henna, you will absolutely love this class! One of the most popular cultural art of the East, Henna (mehndi) design is here this summer with an expert artist Sehrish Mazhar who has 10 years of design experience. Students will learn how to assemble and handle henna cones as well as intricate designs and patterns from various cultures of the East.
FIRST Saturday of Each month 1:30 – 3:00 pm

SUMMER ART PROGRAM 2016 (July 18 – 28*)
*July 18, 20, 21, 22 + July 25, 26, 27, & 28 (Mon thru Thur) 2 weeks
Description: Students will learn an amazing array of projects to enhance their creative skills. The summer art program is designed for school students and adults to learn at an individual pace. The students will keep a journal of their work and design daily art projects. Students will learn fundamentals of drawing, color theory, dot-standard for Arabic calligraphy, naskh or kufic script, perspective and design elements during summer art program.
Choose between the two morning or afternoon sessions:
Morning Session 10:30 am – 12:00 pm (recommended age: 6 – 12 yrs)
Afternoon Session 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm (recommended age: 12+)
